While grocery shopping may not be my favorite thing in the states, let’s just say conversion rates make it one of my favorite things to do here…
The other day while shopping in the market I bought:
A pound of strawberries
A pound of tomatoes
A pineapple
5 oranges
3 avocadoes
6 bananas
2 limes
A bag of fresh cilantro
2 onions
3 chili peppers
Care to guess how much it all cost me?
23 Quetzals. Conversion rate?
$2.88
I can’t imagine why shopping is more fun here!
