With Jon moving to his new place, it was about time that we transported our cat, Stella, to the new house. We knew that she was going to be SO excited. After living in a crowded basement apartment with Jon and his dad she was finally going to have a HOUSE to run around in and huge windows to look out and LOTS of furniture to jump on. Everything her heart desires.
We went to the apartment one day last week to bring her to the house. One LARGE problem? Stella does NOT like to go in her little cat carrier. In fact, she can’t stand it. We tried EVERYTHING to get her in that silly thing – throwing catnip in there…wrapping her in a blanket…throwing her in…you name it, we did it. She was not having any of it. Running out of time with other things to do, we finally decided to do what we never should have: she rode in the car as I held her. Or rather, we rode in the car as she crawled and clawed ALL OVER ME. She eventually found a spot we could both live with – literally perched on my shoulders as I held her so she wouldn’t crawl into the backseat. Not the most comfortable thing in the world but hey, we got there. Thank heaven it’s only a 15 minute ride to the house…
